The best Webshare alternative depends on which Webshare product you use. Webshare is one of the cheapest places to buy shared datacenter proxy lists and shared static residential IPs, so leaving it for those rarely saves money. Teams usually look elsewhere for three reasons: they need mobile proxies, which Webshare does not sell; they buy rotating residential traffic at 100 GB or more, where several providers publish lower per-GB prices; or they hit targets that Webshare restricts on its residential network.

The best Webshare alternative for each need

Start from what you would be replacing. Each row names the alternative to test first and the reason it fits that job better than Webshare, or the reason Webshare is still the better buy.

Your need
Webshare product you use now

Why it fits
What you give up
Rotating residential traffic, 100 GB or more a month
Rotating Residential
Socks5.IO; Rola IP
Lower published per-GB bundle prices at 100 GB and 1,000 GB
Shorter sticky sessions at Socks5.IO (10 minutes) and bundles valid for 30 days
Mobile carrier IPs

Webshare’s 100 shared proxies cost $2.99 a month
Socks5.IO prices dedicated datacenter IPs per IP from $0.18
Fixed IPs for logins or allowlists
Static Residential
Stay with Webshare if shared IPs are acceptable; Decodo ISP if you need another supplier
Webshare’s 20 shared static residential IPs cost $6 a month, the lowest here
Decodo starts at $3.33 per IP for 3 IPs ($2.90 at 10)
Traffic that must not expire
Rotating Residential
IPRoyal
Its pay-as-you-go residential traffic never expires
Higher small-pack rates than Webshare

Rates fall by country tier
No free trial, and US traffic is priced at the top tier

If your work is a datacenter proxy list or a few static IPs, Webshare is probably already the right choice. The review below explains where it is strong and where it is not.

Why teams look for a Webshare alternative

Most reasons to leave Webshare come from its product range and terms rather than its prices, which are low:

  • No mobile proxies. Webshare sells proxy server (datacenter), static residential and rotating residential plans, and lists no mobile proxies.
  • Residential price at volume. Rotating residential traffic falls from $3.50/GB for 1 GB to $2.25/GB at 100 GB and $1.50/GB at 1,000 GB, which is higher than the bundle prices of some alternatives at the same volumes.
  • Restricted targets. Webshare’s residential FAQ says some websites are restricted on its residential network and that certain targets can be unblocked after a brief KYC procedure.
  • A short refund window. Refunds are available within 2 days of payment, and only while usage stays below set limits.
  • A free plan instead of a trial. Webshare describes its free plan as permanent rather than a trial: 10 datacenter proxies with up to 1 GB of bandwidth a month.
  • Card-based payments only. Webshare accepts cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay, and its FAQ says it has no plans to add other payment methods.

Webshare review 2026: strengths, limits and who should stay

Webshare is a self-service proxy provider that sells datacenter proxy lists, static residential (ISP) proxies and rotating residential traffic from one dashboard. Its homepage offers 10 free proxies with no credit card, and every plan is bought and configured without a sales call.

What Webshare sells and what it costs

Webshare prices each product separately, with monthly billing:

Webshare proxy server pricing with 10 free proxies and paid plans from $0.0299 per proxy for 100 proxies to $0.0179 per proxy for 60,000 proxies

Webshare shared datacenter proxy pricing.

Webshare product What it is Monthly price
Proxy Server Shared datacenter proxy list, 50+ countries 10 proxies free; 100 proxies $2.99 a month ($0.0299 each), down to $0.0179 each at 60,000
Static Residential ISP-issued fixed IPs, shared by default, bandwidth up to unlimited under a fair usage policy $0.30 per proxy for 20 to 250 proxies ($6 a month for 20)
Rotating Residential 80M+ residential IPs with country, city, state, ZIP and ASN targeting $3.50/GB for 1 GB (50% off $7), $2.25/GB for 100 GB, $1.50/GB for 1,000 GB, $1.40/GB for 3,000 GB
Mobile Not offered Not offered

The prices above are for Webshare’s shared plans, which its checkout links mark as shared; private and dedicated plans cost more. Datacenter plans include 250 GB to unlimited bandwidth depending on size, also under the fair usage policy, and the plan selector offers 30% off for yearly billing. Webshare supports HTTP and SOCKS5 on its proxy endpoints.

Strengths

Webshare is strongest for small, self-managed projects:

  • Low entry prices. 100 shared datacenter proxies for $2.99 a month and 20 shared static residential IPs for $6 a month keep small projects inexpensive.
  • A free plan with no card. Ten free proxies with up to 1 GB a month are enough to test a script or browser extension before paying.
  • Flexible residential sessions. Choose a new IP on every request or hold a sticky IP for 1 minute to 24 hours. Residential plans support country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting.
  • Self-service everything. Plans are sized by proxy count, bandwidth and location in the dashboard.

Limits

Webshare’s weaknesses are about range and terms more than price:

  • No mobile proxies. Work that needs carrier IPs has to go elsewhere.
  • Residential traffic is not the cheapest at volume. At 100 GB and 1,000 GB, Socks5.IO and Rola IP publish lower bundle prices.
  • Restricted residential targets. Some websites are restricted on the residential network, and some can be unblocked only after KYC.
  • A narrow refund window. Webshare refunds subscriptions cancelled within 2 days of the original payment, only if bandwidth used is below 1 GB on proxy server or static residential plans, or below 0.1 GB on rotating residential plans, and fewer than 1,000 proxies were used.
  • Location filter combinations. Country can be paired with state, city or ZIP, but not several of those filters at once. State and ZIP targeting are US-only; ASN targeting works across the pool and cannot be combined with country.

Who should stay with Webshare

Stay with Webshare if shared datacenter proxy lists suit your work, if you need a handful of static IPs at the lowest price and can accept shared IPs, or if you need residential sticky sessions of up to 24 hours. Look for an alternative if you need mobile proxies, buy 100 GB or more of rotating residential traffic a month, or run into targets that Webshare restricts on its residential network.

1. Socks5.IO

Socks5.IO rotating residential pricing with $3.50 per GB pay as you go and bundles down to $0.26 per GB
Socks5.IO rotating residential plans.

Socks5.IO fits teams that have outgrown Webshare’s residential pricing or need mobile IPs. Its residential bundles are cheaper than Webshare’s from 75 GB, with 100 GB costing $125. The main constraints are its 10-minute residential sticky sessions and 30-day residential bundles. Without a plan, Socks5.IO rotating residential proxies are $3.50/GB; its 30-day bundles cost $1.60/GB at 75 GB, $1.25/GB at 100 GB, $0.62/GB at 1,000 GB and $0.26/GB at 20,000 GB.

Mobile proxies cost $5.50/GB pay as you go and $2.70/GB in a 50 GB bundle. Rotating datacenter proxies cost $0.99/GB pay as you go, and dedicated datacenter IPs start at $0.18 per IP. A residential sticky session lasts 10 minutes or ends after 60 seconds without requests. Payment options include Alipay and WeChat alongside cards.

2. Rola IP

Rola IP rotating residential pricing with pay as you go at $4.00 per GB and traffic packages down to $0.60 per GB

Rola IP rotating residential packages.

Rola IP is another option for residential traffic at volume. Its 100 GB residential package costs $200, compared with Webshare’s $225. Rotating residential traffic is $4.00/GB pay as you go, with 30-day packages at $2.50/GB for 50 GB, $2.00/GB for 100 GB, $1.00/GB for 1,000 GB and $0.60/GB for 10,000 GB. The 30-day validity suits regular workloads better than occasional use.

3. Decodo

Decodo fits teams that want mobile proxies and scraping tools alongside residential traffic; it beats Webshare on product range, falls short on residential price at 100 GB, and costs $275 for its 100 GB residential plan. Decodo residential plans range from $3.75/GB for 3 GB to $2.75/GB for 100 GB, with pay as you go at $4/GB. Its dedicated ISP proxies cost $2.90 per IP for 10 IPs, and its mobile plans range from $3.75/GB for 2 GB to $2.75/GB for 100 GB during a 50% promotion.

4. IPRoyal

IPRoyal fits irregular projects where traffic would otherwise expire. Its pay-as-you-go residential traffic never expires, though small-pack rates are higher than Webshare’s: $7.35/GB for 1 GB and $5.51/GB for 10 GB. Subscription rates are $7/GB for 1 GB and $5.25/GB for 10 GB. Buying ten 10 GB pay-as-you-go pack s would cost $551; larger purchases use custom pricing. It also sells ISP proxies from $2.70 per proxy for 30 days and rotating mobile traffic at $6.80/GB for 2 GB.

5. SOAX

SOAX pricing table with Sandbox, Builder, Team, Scale and Enterprise plans and Tier 1 rates from $5.00 to $0.85 per GB

SOAX plans and country-tier rates for residential and mobile traffic.

SOAX fits traffic that mostly exits outside the most expensive countries and offers mobile IPs at the residential rate. Its Builder plan costs $200 a month and includes 200 usage credits, with Tier 1 traffic charged at $3/GB. For 100 GB through US IPs, the included credits cover $200 of usage and a $100 top-up brings the total to $300 before tax. SOAX has no free trial; its Sandbox option has no subscription fee but requires purchased credits. ZIP and ASN targeting start on the $1,500-a-month Scale plan.

What changes when you switch from Webshare

Switching from Webshare usually means changing a hostname, a username format and how you think about sessions. Datacenter users also move from a downloaded proxy list to whatever format the new provider uses.

Residential username and session parameters

Both Webshare and Socks5.IO encode targeting and sessions in the proxy username, with different syntax:

Setting Webshare rotating residential Socks5.IO rotating residential
Endpoint p.webshare.io:80 Host and port from your dashboard (the docs example uses proxy-hk.socks5.io:3000)
New IP on every request username-us-rotate USERNAME_1-f-1-country-us
Sticky session username-us-1234, with a duration of 1 minute to 24 hours set in the dashboard USERNAME_1234-country-us, held for 10 minutes or until 60 seconds without requests
Location Country, state, city, ZIP code and ASN Country, state and city

The same rotating US request looks like this on Webshare, according to its proxy connection documentation:

bashbash
curl -x "http://username-us-rotate:[email protected]:80/" https://ipv4.webshare.io/

On Socks5.IO the equivalent request uses the gateway shown in your dashboard:

bashbash
curl -x "socks5h://USERNAME_1-f-1-country-us:[email protected]:3000" "http://ip123.in/ip.json"

When migrating, check both session lifetime and location filters. Webshare residential sticky sessions can last up to 24 hours, while Socks5.IO residential sticky sessions last 10 minutes; use a static residential proxy for workflows that need a longer-lived IP. Webshare also offers ZIP and ASN targeting, while Socks5.IO’s residential session documentation lists country, state and city.

Datacenter proxy lists

Webshare’s Proxy Server plans give you a list of individual proxies. Socks5.IO offers two replacements: rotating datacenter proxies through one gateway, billed per GB, and dedicated datacenter IPs billed per IP. If your scripts read a proxy list file, the dedicated option needs the fewest code changes; if they already rotate through a list themselves, the gateway removes that logic.

Testing before you move traffic

Run the same target, request rate and country through Webshare and one alternative for the same week, and compare the share of usable responses and the cost per successful request rather than the headline price.

Webshare alternatives: prices and terms compared

Use price to check a shortlist you built on fit. Two tables follow: a residential volume example and the trial, refund and expiry terms.

Example: 100 GB of rotating residential traffic a month

Provider Purchase example for 100 GB Cost before applicable taxes
Socks5.IO 100 GB bundle at $1.25/GB $125
Rola IP 100 GB package at $2.00/GB $200
Webshare 100 GB plan at $2.25/GB $225
Decodo 100 GB plan at $2.75/GB $275
SOAX US/Tier 1: Builder includes 200 credits; add $100 at $3/GB $300
IPRoyal Ten 10 GB pay-as-you-go packs at $5.51/GB; larger orders use custom pricing $551

At 1,000 GB a month the order is the same at the top: Socks5.IO’s bundle is $620, Rola IP’s package $1,000 and Webshare’s plan $1,500. Below 75 GB Webshare is usually cheaper: 10 GB costs $27.50 against $35 on Socks5.IO and $40 on Rola IP pay as you go, and 25 GB costs $65 against $87.50 and $100.

FAQs

It depends on what you use Webshare for. For rotating residential traffic at 100 GB or more, Socks5.IO and Rola IP offer lower per-GB bundle prices. For mobile proxies, which Webshare does not sell, consider Socks5.IO or Decodo. For shared datacenter proxy lists and small static IP orders, Webshare is usually still the cheapest.
